Patio extension, pergola installation and garden makeover

To extend the current patio, adding a pergola and doing away with the slope that made part of the garden unusable. We first terraced the garden with a blockwork wall faced with brick, then brought the patio out to slightly overhang this, the pergola was constructed and the steps were remodelled, a retaining sleeper wall was then constructed to act as a raised bed against the patio, this buried the slope leaving a flat lawn below the patio, as a final touch we added a small area of paving within a flower bed as a seating area. We are very pleased with this makeover, as it has added a lot of practicality whilst enhancing the cottage garden vibe.
